We are searching for a dynamic and spiritually driven individual to join our ministry as a Minister of Religion. This role is pivotal in leading and shepherding our congregation, fostering spiritual growth, and contributing to the overall wellbeing of our church community. Responsibilities:

  • Leading Prayer, preaching and teaching the Gospel with clarity, relevance, and biblical authenticity.
  • Provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care to individuals and families within the congregation.
  • Offer counselling and support to congregants facing personal, spiritual, or relational challenges.
  • Conduct pastoral visits to hospitals, homes, and other locations to provide comfort and prayer.
  • Actively engage with the community, building relationships and representing the church in outreach efforts.
  • Participate in administrative responsibilities, including meetings, planning, and decision-making.
  • Develop and implement discipleship programs to nurture the spiritual growth of individuals within the congregation.
  • Provide educational opportunities through Bible studies, workshops, and other learning initiatives.
  • Oversee and actively participate in youth and family ministry, guiding the spiritual development of younger members.
  • Collaborate with youth leaders to create a supportive and vibrant youth community.
  • Lead and support mission and outreach initiatives, both locally and globally.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ordination or certification as a minister within a relevant religious body.
  • Proven experience in pastoral ministry and leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and the ability to connect with diverse individuals and families.

Job Overview

The role of a Religious Worker is vital in fostering a supportive and nurturing environment within the community. This position involves engaging with individuals and families, providing spiritual guidance, and facilitating various programmes aimed at personal and communal growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for service, particularly in working with children and vulnerable populations.


Responsibilities:
  • Conduct educational sessions and workshops to teach religious principles and values.
  • Lead community outreach initiatives to support those in need, including fundraising efforts for various causes.
  • Provide mentorship to individuals seeking spiritual guidance or personal development.
  • Offer hospice care support, ensuring comfort and compassion for those at the end of life.
  • Collaborate with other community leaders to organise events that promote fellowship and understanding within the community.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with community members to effectively address their needs and concerns.
  • Develop programmes that engage children in learning about their faith and values.

 

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in teaching or leading groups, particularly within a religious context.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey messages and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with children, demonstrating an ability to engage them in meaningful ways.
  • Background in mentoring individuals or groups, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Familiarity with hospice care practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in fundraising activities is desirable to enhance community support initiatives.
